Welcome to "What's on your iPod?". Every month we'll be asking one person to pick their 10 favourite tracks from their iPod or record collection and tell us why they've chosen them and what they mean to them personally. In keeping with the Andaz ethos, we'll be asking a very wide cross section of people to send in their playlist, from hotel employees to people that work and live in the local community around the Andaz hotels, together with hotel guests and every now and then someone famous! If you'd like to participate in this section and think you meet the above criteria, please drop us a line at the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page.
This month we’re featuring a playlist from David Silver, the Rooms Division Manager at Andaz London.

My early musical interests were Classical and Jazz, being both a violinist and trombonist, so I did not pay much attention to mainstream music until my mid teens.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood is one of my first ‘pop’ musical memories as I think it was the first song I knew of that was banned by Radio 1, so everyone had a copy and felt quite rebellious playing it!
My next two selections are from two of my favourite films, Top Gun and Back to the Future, and are just catchy tunes.
I love Jean Michel Jarre’s work, with my first interest coming from his laser and music show in Docklands - amazing use of the synthesizer.
Seal’s Killer is a favourite sing along track, that we used to play endlessly on bank holiday trips to the coast, so happy memories always return when I hear this track.
Roger Walters is one of my mellow selections from when I was training as a chef when I spent many an hour supping a beer after service listening to this track!
Runaway from Bon Jovi is my favourite song from my favourite band, and the Oasis track Wonderwall, is from crazy nights on the Karaoke circuit!
The Starship track comes from my first dance with my wife on our wedding day, clearly the happiest day of my life, and Sunchyme brings back great memories of sunshine, turquoise seas, rum and steel bands, from our honeymoon in Barbados.
